Westons Voice

Well folks I thought this lil boy couldn't make me anymore in awe, or fill me with much more pride than when i first laid eyes on his photo.....I was wrong. I called my daughter lastnight to see how being home was going, before I ever spoke to them they put lil Weston on the phone, and for the first time I think in my life, I was speachless......Jesse had to prompt me to say hello to the lil guy.I was just transfixed listening in to his voice...amazed that this baby who up until now was one dimentional to me, had just entered the "real" world in my mind. Wow..not only cute picture, but also a very cute voice..baby speak of course but cute enough that I coulda listened to the babling all day long. Hubby listened in at the tail end of it all, as before then I was still in shock and couldn't react in any way. When it finally clicked though I went over to hubby and let him have a listen in.I tell you what folks...I don't know why anyone would say being a grandparent means your old..as I feel a sense of renewal with the arival of this lil fella. More updates as I have them.

He Is Finally Here!!

Little Weston James has finally made his grand arrival into this world!!! He was born to his proud parents at 9:35 am Illinois time at Carle foundation hospital, weighing in at 7 pounds 11ounces! I as of yet do not have his photo, but when I get a copy it will be posted here.He has been taken to the icu for lil ones as there were minor complications at birth, but nothing to cause too much alarm. When i called my daughters room in the hospital our conversation was very brief as she was completely exhausted, so all information was relayed to me via his mother.I will leave with a final note to all that this is indeed a very landmark event for me as an adopted person to finally have a relative of my blood line, other than my children(whom I also Love dearly!)  CONGRATULATIONS CAROLYN AND JESSE!!!

Here is a picture of the flowers I ordered to be sent to her in hospital, God I hope they are the right ones.....all the other baskets seemed too small for such a moment in life,so this one being described as 11 x11 seemed big and bright and beautiful, something I thought as lovely as my daughter, but not to outshine the new mother, vibrant and a mixed bag, just like her.....I still worry till I hear from her , did I get the right ones, the ones that say, Congratulations! and yet also..I LOVE YOU MY DEAREST DAUGHTER, while still having a resounding Welcome to the World Weston about them...oh well we shall see.

Babies are Angels that fly to the earth,

their wings disappear at the time of their birth

one look in their eyes and we're never the same

They're part of us now and that part has a name

That part is your heart and a bond that won't sever

our Babies are Angels, we love them forever.

Baby Feet

Baby Feet
Edgar Guest

Tell me, what is half so sweet
As a baby's tiny feet,
Pink and dainty as can be,
Like a coral from the sea?
Talk of jewels strung in rows,
Gaze upon those little toes,
Fairer than a diadem,
With the mother kissing them!
         Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It is morning and she lies
Uttering her happy cries,
While her little hands reach out
For the feet that fly about.
Then I go to her and blow
Laughter out of every toe;
Hold her high and let her place
Tiny footprints on my face.

Little feet that do not know
Where the winding roadways go,
Little feet that never tire,
Feel the stones or trudge the mire,
Still too pink and still too small
To do anything but crawl,
Thinking all their wanderings fair,
Filled with wonders everywhere.

Little feet, so rich with charm,
May you never come to harm.
As I bend and proudly blow
Laughter out of every toe,
This pray, that God above
Shall protect you with His love,
And shall guide those little feet
Safely down life's broader street.

Precious one,
So small,
So sweet

Dancing in
on angel feet
Straight from Heaven's
brightest star

What a miracle
you are!
